Sustainability
We believe in doing it right the FLEET WAY.
As a part of this initiative, FLEET has planted 10,000 fruit-bearing and medicinal saplings on the lands of marginalised farmers, in the rural areas of Maharashtra, Punjab and Rajasthan.
Trees are important to fighting climate change because they remove excess carbon from our atmosphere by storing them. Considering the average lifespan of a fruit-bearing tree is 20 years, these 10,000 saplings[1], when they grow, have the power to generate 19,980 tonnes of oxygen and sequester 10,424 tonnes of carbon dioxide, in 20 years.

“Thank you, FLEET and SANKALP TARU, for supporting me economically, by planting 1300 Guava saplings on my land. It will significantly help to turn around my earnings.”
– Shivaji Kundlik Dhygude
Maharashtra
The 10,000 saplings[2] planted, will produce an estimated 717 tonnes of fruits, per season, equating to an economic value of $0.25 million per season for farmers.
To engage and drive environmental consciousness, we have made a Digital FLEET forest for seafarers. We then tag a seafarer to a sapling planted as a gift on his birthday or when he reaches a particular milestone, like completing ten, fifteen or twenty years at FLEET. This way, a seafarer can track his tagged tree throughout its entire life cycle.
“It’s humbling to see a tree planted on my birthday, which is purifying our atmosphere as well as bearing fruits for the farmers and supporting their livelihoods. I am happy to be a part of this endeavour against climate change.”
